Some Things Are Better left Unsaid
Here are 5 things that will help you while interviewing with a Seaside family.
- DO NOT negotiate your salary if you are working with Seaside Nannies! We cannot stress this enough Seaside Staffing will negotiate your salary and benefits for you.
- Discussing your past families: Always speak of your former employers professionally. Refrain from speaking negatively of the parents, children, or their environment. Saying anything negative, or giving away information about the family’s personal life reflects poorly upon you. Always speak briefly about the families you have worked for in a positive way.
- Future plans not related to childcare: Refrain from discussing future plans that are not related to childcare. The family will question your commitment to this career.
- Keep Your Personal Life YOUR OWN: Do not bring high drama or issues about your personal life to work with you. Though you work in their home environment, remain professional and do not discuss sensitive topics within your own personal life such as relationships, partaking in drugs or alcohol, politics, religion, familial issues, finances, etc.
