LEAVING THE FAMILY
Leaving a family is never easy and reasons for leaving a family are vast and they vary. Children become attached to their caregivers and are devastated by the absence of their daily interaction. Any nanny leaving their family, should make every effort at helping parents ease the transition from one nanny to another.
A Seaside Nanny always leave their families with, respect, kindness, common courtesy and love for the children that have been in their care.
- Give a proper 2-4 week notice for the family and inform the agency immediately.
- Make sure the family has all of their property back, such as: keys, credit card, garage door openers, car seat, etc.
- Signing a release form is a good idea to make sure everything has been settled
Keeping Seaside’s integrity, as well as your own, when leaving a family is of paramount importance. You want a letter of recommendation with rave reviews written by the family that absolutely loves you to add to your portfolio.
