Summary:
A warm, active family is seeking an experienced and engaging Secondary Rota Nanny to provide exceptional care and developmental support for their infant. Working in partnership with a Lead Governess, this position ensures seamless 365-day care and total consistency in routines, developmental goals, and childcare philosophy. The ideal candidate is receptive to feedback, committed to continuity of care, and fully capable of implementing established developmental plans. Because the family resides between Tennessee and Colorado and travels frequently, they deeply value the integrity of the rotational schedule and seek a nanny who appreciates consistency, reliability, and clear communication when occasional travel-related adjustments are required.
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will view infant care through a developmental lens, understanding that every interaction is an opportunity for learning, and will embrace an approach that incorporates language development, sensory exploration, early literacy, motor development, music, and outdoor experiences. Prior experience working within a staffed private household is strongly preferred, as the role calls for a clear understanding of professional boundaries, chain of command, discretion, and collaborative communication with principals and household staff. Exceptional professionalism, strong judgment, and polished communication skills are essential so the nanny can represent the family positively in both private and public settings. The family hopes to find someone interested in growing alongside the child for many years, as the position will evolve into an educationally focused role supporting school readiness and lifelong learning as the child develops. Thoughtful communication regarding routines and milestones is expected, along with appropriate record keeping to ensure continuity between rotational partners. Candidates must be physically active and capable of safely lifting, swimming, and engaging in high-energy activities with a growing child. Above all, the family is seeking someone naturally warm, easygoing, joyful, emotionally intelligent, and solutions-oriented, with a calm demeanor, genuine humility, and a true passion for children.
