Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, thoughtful, and attentive CNA to provide live in care for a kind and spirited woman living with Alzheimer’s. This position is live in only for the working days, Thursday through Sunday, with the primary goal of creating a calm, safe, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will build a meaningful connection with the client through conversation, companionship, and a steady routine. This role is ideal for someone who values empathy, patience, and the power of daily structure in enhancing quality of life.

Required Skills:
The successful candidate must have experience working with individuals with memory loss, fall risks, and hearing impairment. Strong communication skills, the ability to speak slowly and clearly, and sensitivity to behavioral and emotional cues are essential. You must be detail-oriented, highly observant, and able to think on your feet while maintaining consistency in the client’s routine. Additional responsibilities include light housekeeping, errands, meal preparation, laundry (including linens), and helping maintain a well-organized household. A love for cooking, a collaborative spirit, and an openness to feedback are key. There are cameras in the home, and family and friends may occasionally stay overnight. Reliability, honesty, and a desire to support, not change, the client’s narrative are critical to success in this rewarding and intimate role.
