A devoted family with a large estate in San Diego is seeking an experienced Estate Manager to oversee all household operations and manage a team of household staff members, including housekeepers and several established vendors. **Required Experience:**
- **Minimum 10 years** in estate management, household management, or similar high-end domestic roles
- Demonstrated experience managing household teams of 5+ staff members
- Proven ability to oversee diverse vendors and service providers
- Experience managing large estates (> 10K sq. ft)
**Required Skills:**
- Expert-level calendar and schedule management
- Strong organizational and project management abilities

- Proficiency with technology, apps, and household management software

**Physical Requirements:**

Required Skills:

**Staff Management & Training:**
- Oversee, coordinate, and support full-time housekeepers and related staff
- Create and maintain staff schedules ensuring optimal coverage
- Train household staff on family preferences and household standards
- Conduct regular check-ins to ensure staff performance meets expectations
- Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers
**Calendar & Schedule Coordination:**
- Manage comprehensive family calendar
- Coordinate staff schedules and time-off requests
- Schedule and confirm all household appointments and maintenance
- Coordinate family travel arrangements with household team
**Household Operations:**
- Ensure quality of cleanliness throughout the estate
- Maintain detailed inventory systems and keep home fully stocked
- Conduct Costco and grocery runs; receive and organize deliveries
- Organize and oversee the maintenance of closets, storage areas, and household spaces
- Oversee all household maintenance (weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual)
- Manage property systems including irrigation, surveillance, lighting, and climate control
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and ensure all household equipment is functional
- Handle all mailing, shipping, and package management
**Vendor & Property Management:**
- Oversee gardening services and landscape maintenance
- Coordinate with contractors for repairs and improvements
- Manage relationships with all household vendors
- Ensure quality control for all services provided
- House-sit (as needed) when family travels
**Event Planning & Special Projects:**
- Assist in coordination of family gatherings and events
- Execute special projects as directed by the principal
- Assist with seasonal decorating and holiday preparations
