Summary:
A warm, active family is seeking an experienced and adaptable governess/nanny to provide attentive care and developmental support for their 4-month-old infant. This is an ideal opportunity for a nurturing, engaging professional who enjoys creating enriching, age-appropriate experiences while helping establish healthy routines and consistency in a positive home environment. The family is hoping to find someone interested in building a long-term relationship and growing alongside the family over time. Both parents are actively involved and work remotely part of the time, so the ideal candidate will be collaborative, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable working in partnership with hands-on parents while maintaining professionalism and discretion. The family divides their time between residences in Tennessee and Colorado and travels regularly, requiring a passport-ready candidate who enjoys travel and can transition seamlessly between locations. Relocation assistance will be available for the right fit, and the position will begin with a short-term live-in arrangement before transitioning into a longer-term live-out role. The governess/nanny will also work closely with other executive and personal staff supporting the household, making strong communication and teamwork essential. Comfort around large dogs is important, as the family has two dogs in the home.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have strong infant experience and a solid understanding of early childhood development, with the ability to create engaging routines and developmentally focused activities that encourage growth and learning. The family is seeking someone calm, dependable, proactive, and highly organized, with excellent communication skills and the ability to anticipate needs without requiring constant direction. During quieter childcare periods, responsibilities may include children’s laundry, maintaining organization, assisting with errands, and supporting the smooth day-to-day flow of the household. The right candidate will be flexible, travel-ready, and confident working within a dynamic, multi-residence environment while maintaining a warm and grounded presence. Strong swimming skills are required, along with a professional, trustworthy, and adaptable approach. Most importantly, the family is looking for someone kind, thoughtful, and genuinely excited to become a valued long-term part of their daily lives.
