The successful candidate must be physically fit, fully vaccinated (including COVID-19 and boosters, T-dap, and flu), and have extensive knowledge of developmental milestones for ages 0-5 years. Duties include maintaining a structured daily routine, preparing nutritious meals while educating about food, implementing a no-snacking and no-screen time policy, and encouraging adventurous eating. The nanny will be expected to practice delayed gratification techniques, foster independence, and teach politeness and social skills. Additional responsibilities involve reading extensively to the child, engaging in play-based learning. The ability to maintain clear boundaries, separate adult and child time, and communicate effectively with parents is crucial. Light cooking for the baby and please no heavy perfumes. The ideal candidate will be patient, able to allow for boredom as a tool for creativity, and comfortable with an authoritative parenting style with gentle boundaries, that balances firm limits with freedom within those boundaries.
