We are seeking an experienced and highly dedicated Estate Manager / Property Manager on behalf of a lovely, discreet UHNW private household. The ideal candidate will step into a well-established household following the retirement of a long-tenured Estate Manager and will be responsible for overseeing an 8-acre estate comprising a 10,000 sq ft main residence, a guest house, and a 2500 ft2 beach house in Del Mar, as well as a commercial building in RB. Required Skills:
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses exceptional follow-through with a strong understanding of luxury estate operations. Core responsibilities include overseeing a full landscape team (foreman and two gardeners), managing external vendors for the pool, water features, large aquarium, orchid care, and floral arrangements, and supervising all repairs and maintenance across the properties. The Estate Manager will be the point person for complex home systems including Crestron automation, Lutron lighting, an app-controlled underground water tank, wine cellar temperature monitoring, and whole-home generator oversight. Additional duties include managing three family vehicles, coordinating logistics for 1–2 events per month, conducting weekly inspections of the beach house, overseeing ongoing landscape projects, managing the commercial property with monthly visits, collecting bills for the owner's assistant, and being available to assist the family's children with property-related needs. The Estate Manager must be available for emergencies at any hour and is expected to maintain every corner of the estate in perfect, pristine condition. Strong, verifiable references are required, and a basic knowledge of landscaping is a plus.
