Summary:
An exceptionally maintained San Francisco residence is seeking a polished, estate-level housekeeper to manage a beautiful four-bedroom home filled with extensive plant and book collections. This full-time position requires a highly meticulous professional who takes immense pride in their craft and genuinely cares about creating and maintaining an impeccable living environment. The principal values proactive thinking, independence, and discretion, and is seeking someone who can anticipate needs without requiring micromanagement. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of ultra-high-net-worth households, possesses sharp organizational skills, and thinks several steps ahead. This is an opportunity for an experienced estate professional who thrives on precision, appreciates beautiful spaces, and is looking for a long-term position where their expertise and attention to detail will be truly valued.
Required Skills:
The estate housekeeper/house manager will provide comprehensive household management including meticulous cleaning of all surfaces (baseboards, ceilings, and everything in between), pantry and linen organization, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, floor care, fresh flower rotation and maintenance, and extensive wardrobe care including steaming, ironing, and garment maintenance with keen understanding of fabric care requirements (distinguishing between regular and high-end dry cleaning needs). The candidate will manage the color-coded household systems, maintain ongoing replacement lists for household items, and handle tech-savvy ordering through Instacart and Amazon. Additional responsibilities include coordinating car maintenance, managing calendar adjustments when the principal travels (canceling services such as yoga instructors, food deliveries, and flower deliveries), and overseeing all household services with precision. We require someone who is calm, focused, trustworthy, and possesses an innate understanding of discretion essential in ultra-high-net-worth environments. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented with special attention to fabrics and finishes, experienced in estate-level service, and capable of maintaining the highest standards independently while managing the home's extensive plant collection and pristine condition throughout.
