Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper/Laundress for their single-family home. As the sole cleaning specialist for the residence, the candidate will have the autonomy to manage the cleaning schedule and ensure the home stays pristine. The family values consistency and is looking for someone who takes pride in their work and maintains high standards. The position requires flexibility as the family travels occasionally, during which the schedule may be reduced for maintenance and security checks. This is a professional household position offering stable employment with a dedicated parking arrangement available for those who commute by car.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in high-end private homes or hotels with strong ironing skills and the physical stamina to manage a multi-level residence. Primary responsibilities include complete management of the family's laundry for both adults and children, encompassing sorting, washing, ironing shirts and linens, folding, and organizing items into closets. The role requires a full house reset and organization upon every visit, which includes actively decluttering countertops, tables, and floors, resetting living areas by fluffing pillows and folding throw blankets to create a guest-ready appearance, and ensuring the kitchen is pristine by emptying the dishwasher and clearing the sink. Deep cleaning duties involve thorough bathroom maintenance including toilets, bathtubs, tile, grout, and glass, vacuuming rugs and mopping hardwood floors throughout the home, and managing a rotating schedule of detailed tasks such as wiping baseboards, cleaning interior windows, dusting light fixtures, and spot-cleaning walls and cabinetry. Additional responsibilities include changing bedding weekly and making beds to hotel standards with tight corners and smooth duvets, as well as maintaining outdoor spaces by sweeping and clearing debris as needed.
