Summary:
A private, highly organized, entrepreneurial family is seeking a full-time, long-term Nanny/Family Assistant for their young preschool-aged daughter. Both parents are business owners supported by a small family office team, and they value intentional parenting, clear structure with warmth, outdoor and active living, a healthy mindset, minimal screen time, and professional discretion. The family travels extensively, spending several months per year outside of their home base, and the ideal candidate must be enthusiastic about extended travel, adaptable to new environments, and able to maintain consistent routines on the road. This is a career-level position within a well-supported household, best suited for someone with a long-term mindset who sees this role as a meaningful professional commitment. The family would consider out-of-state candidates for the perfect fit, but ideally candidates are local to the San Diego area.
Required Skills:
This full-time position averages approximately 40 hours per week and blends hands-on childcare with family assistant responsibilities. Child-focused duties include school pickup and after-school care, full-day care on non-school days, planning developmentally aligned activities, supporting emotional regulation, managing daily routines and transitions, and preparing healthy meals and snacks. On school day mornings, the role shifts to household support, including family laundry, healthy meal prep, grocery shopping, errand running, vendor coordination, household inventory management, light administrative support, and maintaining organized and tidy spaces throughout the home. Administrative responsibilities require a fast-paced approach to calendar management, bookings, hotel reservations, flight upgrades, and travel coordination, ensuring nothing overlaps and that the principal's schedule is solid and organized a full week out. Candidates must have 5 or more years of professional nanny experience, a confident and warm approach with strong-willed young children, a reliable vehicle with a clean driving record, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong references. The family also looks for alignment with their core values: freedom of accountability, teamwork, curiosity and a willingness to ask questions, a "yes, and" growth mindset, strong work ethic and discipline while on the clock balanced with genuinely enjoying downtime while off, open mindedness, a continual openness to growth, and a commitment to longevity in the role.
