Summary:
Seaside Staffing is seeking a proactive, energetic, and experienced full-time nanny for a warm and active family in the South Bay Area. This live-out position centers on hands-on care for two young children, a toddler and an infant, in a household that genuinely values its staff and is looking to build a long-term relationship with the right person. Occasional flexibility needed as the parents' work schedules can vary; the family provides as much advance notice as possible and is respectful of their nanny's time. The home includes additional household staff and a friendly family dog.

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate brings energy, warmth, wit, and creativity to each day and takes initiative without needing direction, anticipating the needs of both the children and parents. Responsibilities include engaged, age-appropriate play (hands-on rather than supervising from the sidelines), regular outdoor time and support for the children's interests in sports, reading, art, music, and library classes, planning enriching activities, and partnering with the parents on their educational goals and parenting approach. The role also includes preschool drop-offs, pickups, and transitions, meal and snack preparation, bottle prep and feeding, maintaining consistent nap and daily routines, and child-related tidying such as play areas, feeding areas, the changing station, diaper bag, and the children's rooms and clothing, with occasional light help caring for the family dog. Candidates must have in-home nanny experience or a background in early childhood education, experience with infants and toddlers, a strong understanding of child development, and a gentle, playful approach with no yelling or harsh discipline. Fluent English, a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and excellent references are required, along with up-to-date vaccinations (including MMR, DTaP, Varicella, Hib, Tdap, seasonal flu, and at least two COVID-19 doses), being a non-smoker, comfort around dogs, and flexibility with occasional schedule changes.
