Required Skills:
This is a Monday through Friday position covering after-school hours. Daily responsibilities will include school pickup, engaging the children in creative and age-appropriate activities, light meal prep and dinner setup, bath time, and getting the kids organized and ready for the next school day. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of child development, including ages and stages for toddlers and early childhood, and be comfortable managing two children at different developmental milestones simultaneously. An Early Childhood Education background or equivalent experience is a strong plus. Additional requirements include a clean driving record, comfort working in a home with animals, and a willingness to help keep the home tidy and organized as part of the daily routine. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, though it is not a requirement. Above all, we are looking for someone who is laid back, emotionally steady, warm, and unflappable.
