Summary:
We are seeking a professional, calm, and detail-oriented Family Assistant/Housekeeper to support the daily operations of a private household. This role is primarily focused on housekeeping responsibilities, with approximately six hours per day dedicated to maintaining the home to a high standard and one to two hours of childcare support as needed. Some days will consist solely of housekeeping duties, while others may involve more hands-on childcare support with a young child. The ideal candidate is discreet, respectful of privacy, and naturally understands how to work quietly and unobtrusively within a private home environment. They should be physically fit, efficient, and able to work quickly while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and organization.

Required Skills:
Responsibilities include deep household organization, expert laundry and linen care, steaming garments, neatly folding clothing, properly making beds, and providing evening turndown service. The childcare component involves supervising and engaging with a toddler who enjoys creative activities and physical play. Cooking responsibilities are minimal and primarily involve preparing simple, nutritious meals for the child, while errands and shopping will only be needed occasionally. The family has two dogs and a swimming pool on the property. Qualifications include strong housekeeping and laundry skills, the ability to maintain a polished and orderly household, current First Aid and CPR certification, swimming ability, and the ability to read and write English fluently for receiving text instructions. A valid passport and willingness to travel with the family on occasion during holidays is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be warm yet professional, understand appropriate boundaries within the household, and demonstrate a genuine love for working with children while respecting the parents' authority and family privacy.
