A down to earth, upbeat and fun, work-from-home family is seeking a warm, detail-oriented Family Assistant/Nanny to support their household and provide after-school care for their daughter. This is a full-time role, ideally Noon to 8 PM, with pickup around 3 PM (later on some days). The child is high-energy, talkative, and emotionally attuned, with a love of coloring, reading, board games, and creative projects like beading; she thrives with structure and enjoys knowing the plan for the afternoon and evening. The household includes a small, easygoing dog (occasional walks requested), a covered pool (the child is water safe, though swimming is not required of the candidate), and smart home automation for lights, temperature, and security that runs automatically and requires no special tech skills. The family follows a gluten-free diet by preference rather than medical necessity. A weekly professional cleaner handles deep cleaning, so this role focuses on daily upkeep rather than heavy housework.

Required Skills:
Responsibilities include general tidying and resetting of living spaces, keeping the child's room and playroom organized, and staying on top of household basics such as dishes, laundry, bed linens and towels, trash and recycling, and restocking supplies. The role also covers grocery ordering and light pantry/fridge organization, simple errands, returns, dry cleaning drop-off and pickup, and help with travel prep such as packing and organizing the child's belongings. On the childcare side, the candidate will provide engaged after-school supervision including play, reading, activities, meal and snack prep (light prep and heating rather than full cooking), and support with school and activity routines, along with keeping backpacks, lunch boxes, and supplies organized and clean. The ideal candidate is proactive, observant, comfortable asking questions, and respectful of the family's privacy and boundaries. A driver for pickups is preferred; if using a personal vehicle, mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate.
