Summary:
A wonderful family is seeking a reliable, proactive Family Assistant to support their household Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, approximately 20 hours per week. This is primarily a household support position, with responsibilities including light housekeeping, post-breakfast cleanup and dishes, laundry and dry-cleaning coordination, weekly grocery shopping, light meal preparation such as chopping and assembling, vendor management, errands, pantry restocking, and occasional office organization. The family has one two-and-a-half-year-old son who attends daycare, so childcare is not a primary responsibility; however, occasional child supervision for short periods of time may be needed, particularly during busy or chaotic mornings. The ideal candidate will be autonomous, flexible, and comfortable adapting to the household’s changing daily needs, with the ability to observe what needs to be done and take initiative without requiring constant direction. This is intended to be a long-term position for someone who is discreet, perceptive, and able to naturally blend into the rhythm of the household. Most be dog friendly!

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a proactive, self-directed approach to managing their position. They should be comfortable handling a variety of tasks independently, communicating clearly, and asking questions when clarification is needed rather than making assumptions. Attention to detail, flexibility, discretion, and a genuine enjoyment of supporting a family are important. Candidates should be comfortable around young children and able to provide occasional supervision when needed, as well as comfortable with a friendly Labrador. Experience with light household support, laundry, errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and coordinating vendors is preferred.
