Seaside is thrilled to be working again with a treasured repeat family, who are expecting their first child in January. This is a staffed household, and we are looking to fill a rotational Newborn Care Specialist position, with caregivers working one week on and one week off, twelve-hour overnight shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. This family is discreet and deeply values their privacy. Mom is a labor and delivery nurse, but this will be her first baby, and the ideal candidates will follow her lead while also partnering with her as a true team as she and her partner settle into life with a newborn in their home.

Required Skills:
Responsibilities include overnight feeding support, soothing and sleep coaching, maintaining a detailed care log for smooth handoffs between caregivers, other household staff, and parents, nursery organization and the baby's laundry, and gently guiding the family toward healthy sleep habits while remaining sensitive to mom's preferences as she finds her own rhythm. Qualifications include a Newborn Care Specialist certification from an accredited program, a minimum of three years of professional newborn care experience, current CPR and First Aid certification, a valid driver's license, and glowing references from recent families. Candidates must be local to the area, as this is not a role open to travel or relocation. The family is happy to meet LVNs and RNs, and a background in lactation consultancy or any other specialized training that would benefit a new baby and first-time parents is a wonderful plus. The ideal candidate is warm, low-key, highly communicative, and comfortable working within both a rotational team and a fully staffed household, bringing both confidence and humility to a home where mom's medical background meets her brand-new role as a parent.
