GOT BOYS?? 🙂 We are seeking an exceptional nanny for a wonderful active family who values outdoor adventures and meaningful experiences. The ideal candidate is kind, gentle, and adventurous with a warm, receptive personality and super creative ability to plan engaging activities. This outdoorsy professional can work with full autonomy while respecting the family's wishes and thrives in dynamic, high-energy environments. This position requires absolute flexibility including nights, weekends (one day per week with two consecutive days off), occasional very early mornings, overnight care, last-minute travel requests, and up to six months of travel per year including three long remote trips with overtime and on-call status. Personal paid time off should be requested quarterly while avoiding children's school vacations and family travel windows, and this is an exclusive employment arrangement. Candidates should be prepared for varied experiences ranging from tent camping (YES!!) to five-star hotels while maintaining discretion in this private household where you are essential, deeply valued, and part of the family while maintaining a professional, understated presence.
Family doesn't follow a specific philosophy, however appreciates unschooling, Waldorf and Montessori methodologies. Should have experience with multiple children, familiar with redirection methodology, positive reinforcement, choice strategies. Family will pay for relocation.
Required Skills:
Responsibilities include organizing creative outdoor activities such as skiing, surfing, swimming, hiking, biking, arts and crafts, schoolwork, greenhouse harvesting, and chicken egg collecting with special attunement to children's individual preferences. Daily duties encompass preparing next-day lunches and backpacks, setting out clothes and equipment, rotating toys, managing all school registration and paperwork, researching and enrolling children in summer camps and activities (ski school, soccer, horse lessons, swimming, gymnastics). This family would like the candidate to have oversight of scheduling appointments, managing children's wardrobes for proper fit and seasonal appropriateness, organizing garage and gear with labeling and inventory systems, keeping the home stocked with whole foods while avoiding processed options, handling grocery shopping and errands, preparing and stocking the family van for trips. Candidates must also ensure that all living spaces are kept neat and tidy and in order with dishes done and beds made at shift end, pre-packing luggage, creating kid-focused travel plans, and booking accommodations and activities when needed. You will care for multiple children with varied energy levels who require outdoor play, physical activity, consistent reminders, and healthy mealtimes in a family that prioritizes outdoor activities, sensitivity over strict programs, and values of kindness, respect, and individualism, welcoming you to participate in family excursions while respecting your personal time. This position will encompass total comp value between 145-165k annually.
