The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing daily lunches and dinners, as well as snacks and light meals as needed, perhaps even some breakfasts, depending on day. The chef must be comfortable with a wide range of culinary styles, from casual family-style meals and BBQ to sophisticated plating for formal occasions. Key responsibilities may include accommodating various dietary restrictions such as gluten-free and vegetarian meals, planning and executing menus for entertaining parties of 14-20 guests, and maintaining relationships with local suppliers to source the finest produce and proteins. The position requires flexibility to travel with the principal when necessary and adaptability to work extended hours, including early mornings and late evenings as needed. Menu planning and meal preparation for reheating will be essential components of the role. Candidates must possess a culinary degree, minimum 5 years of relevant experience, and excellent professional references.
